How to connect explosion-proof sealing joints and explosion-proof conduits?
Dec 10, 2025
Explosion-proof sealing joints, also called explosion-proof glands, explosion-proof cable sealing joints, or explosion-proof fixing joints, provide a more significant explosion-proof effect when used with explosion-proof conduits.
Explosion-proof sealing conduits serve to introduce cables, seal, secure, waterproof, and prevent explosions. Explosion-proof conduits, also called explosion-proof flexible conduits, similarly provide explosion protection, sealing, and cable protection.
For example, in an explosion-proof instrument box, an explosion-proof sealing joint is first installed at the cable inlet/outlet. The cable is then led out, and an explosion-proof flexible conduit is installed at the other end. The cable is then introduced through an explosion-proof connecting conduit. The other end of the explosion-proof flexible conduit connects to another explosion-proof device. This achieves the functions of connection, protection, and securing.
During actual installation and use, special attention must be paid to the thread specifications and whether the thread is male or female. Only by ensuring consistency can errors be avoided and rework prevented.
